The Contemporary arts museum Isfahan is located in a building from the Safavid era. A lot of changes has been done to the building during the Qajar era. The building has been decorated by stuccoed forms, which are the principal architectural feature of Qajar epoche. There are many patterns of flowers and vase, which are a distinctive feature of decoration in the Qajar age. This feature is one the features that distinguishes Qajar age from the Safavid age, in which flowers were never in vases.
The museum is open from 9 to 12 a.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. in the spring and summer. In the automn and winter, it is open from 9 to 12 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.
